Choosing the correct appointment type
We are seeing an increase in patients booking the wrong appointment types when using online booking (e.g. the NHS App).
Appointments with our nursing team are clearly labelled to show what they can address, such as long-term condition reviews, contraception, smear tests, GP-requested blood tests, and asthma reviews.
If an appointment is booked into an unsuitable slot, we will cancel the appointment and ask you to rebook using the correct appointment type. If this is not identified in advance, your concern may not be able to be addressed at the appointment.
Booking the wrong appointment can lead to a wasted journey, delays in care, and a wasted appointment.
If you are unsure which appointment type to choose, or if any wording is unclear, please contact reception; we welcome feedback and are keen to improve.
Friends & Family Test
Patients are invited to give feedback about the care and treatment they have received from White Medical Group. Please click on the link at the top of this page.

Out of Hours
If you need to see a doctor outside normal surgery hours contact Northern Doctors Urgent Care (NDUC) on 111. Operating between the hours of 6.30pm to 8.00am on weekdays and around the clock at weekends and bank holidays, NDUC offers a GP service for people who need to see a doctor outside standard surgery hours.
111
You can call 111 when you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency. NHS 111 is a fast and easy way to get the right help.
